to every girl or boy who feels a need to starve themselves and for the pro-ana people that actually strive for a life threatening disease; (because anorexia IS a disease, no matter if you see it as a lifestyle or not.)

do you realise that if you start starving yourself to lose weight you can never, in your life, eat again? your body will go in starvation mode and EVERYTHING with the least bit of fat or anything that can be converted into fat (which basically is everything but water) will go directly to your body as fat, it won’t burn because the body takes everything it can to survive. also starving comes with HORRIBLE side effects. as if risking your life isn’t bad enough, you’ll lose your hair on your head and grow hair on other parts of your body instead, like your face. if you’re a girl, your period will stop, and that’s NEVER a good sign. and in time you might become infertile (same thing goes for guys but yeah… for guys). which means that because you chose this extreme way now when you’re like 14, you will NEVER in your life, all this life you have in front of you, EVER, be able to have a child. just the fact that you can get dehydrated is dangerous and one day of careless starving without drinking enough water can be enough for you to get dehydrated. also starving will make your body produce more growth hormone which will make you GROW, not shrink. in adults, over producing growth hormone can cause acromegaly which will make the cartilage, mainly in hands, feet or your face grow. google image of acromegaly and see how odd it looks! so yeah, when you starve yourself to get smaller you might actually make some parts of your body grow instead.
